会议议题：

1． Security of water resources:

• Access to dinking water (a social issue);
• Water distribution;
• Conflicts between the different levels of jurisdiction/competence (cities, regions, States, supra States);
• Migrations and decline in water resources for each inhabitant;
• Water quality: the right of each person to have access to drinking water, inseparable from the duty of water treatment (which doubles the cost).

2. Integrated and technical methods

• Engineering, complex systems, GIS, spatial techniques

3. Politics, economy and water regulation

• The role of mineral water;
• Resources shared by several countries: does one State’s water policy give it the right to put another State in danger? (The control of a watercourse’s upper reaches);
• Irrigation and dietary habits: water exploitation models linked to societies (organization, functioning), the sturdiness of dietary habits in view of new constraints.

4. Sustainable water use

• Water reuse and social acceptance of recycled water;
• Sustainability and pollution: interactions between the ecosystem and water uses;
• Short term/Long term: evolution and renewal of sustainable water supply sources. Immediate development and its consequences over time;
• Protection and restoration of ecosystems.
