报告题目: Don’t fight the site: Three geomorphic considerations in catchment-scale river rehabilitation planning 报告人: Prof. Gary Brierley(University of Auckland, New Zealand) 时间: 2009年3月13日(周五)下午3:00 地点: 地理资源所2521会议室
Prof. Brierley is one of world leading scientists working in the fields of environmental change, ecosystem rehabilitation and river management. In a period of less than 20 years, he has published over 100 research articles and two books. His books “Geomorphology and River Management: Applications of the River Styles Framework” and “River Futures: An Integrative Scientific Approach to River Repair” have been an indispensable reference tool for teachers, researchers, and students in Geography and related disciplines. He has been working in many parts of the world and is now leading an international research team to study the futures of Chinese rivers and the eco-geomorphic features of the headwater region of the Three Rivers in Qinghai. This is his third time to visit our institute within two years. He is very keen to collaborate with our institute from now on and would like very much to meet researchers at all levels in the institute. He is a very good speaker and very patient to answer any questions.
